Wildlife Monitoring and the SIKU app

This project aims to develop a community-led approach to climate change monitoring and environmental stewardship across Nunavik. We have been using the SIKU app to collect observations of ice conditions, invasive species, wildlife observations, and animal health. We have been hosting workshops in each community to train hunters in the use of this tool and we are paying them to post observations during their hunting trips in order to monitor wildlife across the region.
