Harvest Monitoring Coordinator

The Harvest Monitoring Coordinator would be responsible for establishing a harvest monitoring program in Nunavik. This Coordinator would do an inventory of past efforts and work together with communities to build a program that would strengthen Inuit self-determination efforts. They will also lead initiatives to assist and support communities that are impacted by harvest limitations.

Responsabilities

  • Create an inventory of past harvest monitoring efforts.
  • Gather harvest data from the region.
  • Develop a Nunavik harvest monitoring strategy.
  • Assist the local Anguvigait with their own harvest management initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Independent worker
  • Fluent in English and Inuktitut
  • Knowledge of Office Equipment (Computer, Emails, Microsoft Office, Excel etc.)
  • Office management skills
