Communications Director

The Communications Director would be responsible for public relations, social media presence, and communications for the NHFTA. This director would work on communicating NHFTA projects and achievements with the Board of Directors and with Nunavimmiut. This person would also work on projects to document and communicate Inuit knowledge through video and radio formats.

Responsabilities

  • Develop a communication strategy with the Anguvigaq executives
  • Create reports and announcements for the Board of Directors
  • Work with graphic designers to produce posts for Anguvigaq social media and website announcements
  • Develop yearly reports for Anguvigaq activities
  • Lead or participate in Inuit knowledge sharing initiatives through video and radio

Skills and Qualifications

  • Independent worker
  • Fluent in English and Inuktitut, but in speaking and in writing
  • Knowledge of Office Equipment (Computer, Emails, Microsoft Office, Excel etc.)
  • Creative and effective communicator
